Frequently asked questions

Will physiotherapy help me?
We take pride in our holistic approach and in finding the real cause of your pain. If you have any reservations, please call us to discuss your issues with no-obligation.

What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothing is ideal, shorts if it is a lower limb problem and a vest top if it is neck, shoulder or upper back condition.

Will I have to take my clothes off?
Depending on which part of your body requires treatment, there is the chance that you may have to partially undress, particularly during the initial assessment, and also if massage is needed as part of your treatment plan. Your dignity and comfort remain our priority however, and towels or blankets are always used for your comfort.

Can I bring a friend with me?
Absolutely! You are welcome to bring a friend or relative along to any appointment.

What can I expect on my first visit?
On your first visit, you will receive a thorough assessment which will include general questions about yourself, details of your general health, and a history of your current condition. You will also receive a physical assessment (which will include looking at your posture, movement, and pain patterns). You will then be given a diagnosis to help you understand where your pain originates from and a plan for getting you back to optimal health will be discussed.

How many sessions will I need?
Depending on the diagnosis of your condition, you may need between 3 and 12 sessions.

How long do treatment sessions last for?
Your initial assessment should take around 30 minutes and full treatment sessions are 45 minutes.

Will it hurt?
There’s no getting away from it, while we aim to keep the pain during treatment to a minimum, you may feel some discomfort during your sessions. You may also notice that you ache the day after treatment; this is normal and should be short lived.

Will my insurance company pay for my treatment sessions?
We are registered with most health insurance companies, please check with your insurance policy or call us to confirm.
